Tyr first felt the numbing pain receding and his strength coming back. Then his brain registered the Director mutter menacingly at him. "You better be able to do something useful."

As Tyr stood up, he could feel the Assassin glance and him. He quickly figured it was determining the odds of taking either or both of them out. Not giving the slayer much time, Tyr gripped his zankpukto and it took the form of a sword again. He walked over and soon the woman noticed he was even with her.

"I can't block those blasts as well as you can. Also, if his shots hit my blade they detonate like it did against the wall. Since, you disabled my vambraces as well, my shields don't work either. So, you will need to block for both of us."

Tyr brought the sword up and pointed the tip at the slayer. As he did he smiled a little. "As for you, you think you are fully aware of our weapon's capabilities don't you. Well, you would be wrong."

Tyr spoke, "Director, the best strategy would be to get him boxed-in against the wall or better yet, in actual corner. Then he will be easier to kill. However, you must close the distance and attack simultaneously. If he manages to see it coming, he will activate those nasty blades." Tyr indicated with a slight dip in his sword's point at the serrated blade sticking out over his hands from the thick gauntlets. "Furthermore, I wouldn't be surprised if he has some other weapon most specifically a flamethrower." As Tyr finished, the Director felt as much as saw a powerful envelope of energy envelope the man next to her. At the same time, his eyes turned solid black; his hair and skin started to darken a little. She heard him snicker a little, "How do you like the power of a zanpukto...that of fumetsu!"

I can't go anywhere near my present limit. If my zanpukto draws any more hyper-energy than this I and him won't be able to control it. I wish that I had worked harder and longer at the symbiotic connection and stamina that is needed for this! On the plus side, if I get an opportunity, I can channel all this energy in a slicing projection of energy at the slayer. That is a big if! Since, my normal shields are not working thanks to her. I can't risk having my zanpukto focus the energy along its edge; so I can sling it at the enemy. I will have to keep it as I have it now, as a protective cloak. However, the longer I have to keep it the quicker I will tire and the slower I will get. Unless, I compensate by using converting some of the cloak into an anti-mass field. Damn! I wish that I had those repulsor bracelets and boots like Rikku. It would make this much easier. I should ask Hatake for some before he leaves...

"Nice trick," Crystala muttered as she noticed his eyes turn black before turning her entire focus on the assassin. She wasn't concerned about the weapons the assassin was carrying, the flamethrower hardly above her notice as she glanced at the wall beside her. With a smirk, she sidestepped, once again passing through the wall into the adjoining room which was little more than a storage facility. When she reemerged, the assassin was now between her and Tyr, Crystala remained phased as the assassin fired several more bolts at her, the shots passing through her harmlessly. It was an unsettling feeling, going against her normal instincts but now felt as good a time as any to test a theory. Making herself corporeal again, she approached, lightsaber raised and ready.

Clearly the assassin's focus was squarely on her as he ignored Tyr entirely. Two wicked blades suddenly appeared, attached to the assassin's wrists. Crystala wore a look of utter contempt. I'd almost swear he's mocking Luciana right now, she thought as she watched the assassin lunge forward, blades ready to cut into her. With barely a flickering smirk, she used her lightsaber to parry the first blade while a dark ball summoned blade caught the second one. The lightsaber cut clean through its parried edge, sending a good portion of the sword, carried on by the momentum of the swing, flying just past her, narrowly missing her sides as it impaled itself into the metal wall. Not wasting a beat, she followed up, bringing the lightsaber back around with a quick flick of her wrist. The assassin tumbled backwards, rolling away from her, now reduced to only one melee weapon which it would have to treat with extra care after witnessing the ease at which Crystala rendered his other one completely useless.

"Any day you want to perform a quick backstab is fine with me," Crystala called out to Tyr. Her hopes was it would give the assassin the warning needed to distract him enough for her to end this pathetic attempt on her life.

Tyr compressed the field of energy around him and had it converted to a repulsor field. In a blinding flash he was on top of the slayer and executed three slashes and three thrusts. The first slash clove through his artificial left triceps. The second went across the back of his legs and severed its controls. The third went through the artificial right tricep. Then the three thrusts went into the torso. On the last one, Tyr slammed into the back of the cybernetically enhanced assassin. Then as the thing went forward a few steps, Tyr drew out the last thrust while cutting out through his right side...

No sooner than the maneuver was completed than his enhancing energy fields collapsed and so did he. As his knees hit the deck plates he coughed. Some bright silver blood speckled onto the deck and some more appeared from his skin like sweat. Given how injured the slayer was, Crystala would have no problems finishing it now.

It was a good distraction, the assassin clearly more suited to surprise ambushes and one on one fights. Capitalizing on the attack, Crystala dispatched the helpless cyborg without a second thought, driving the glowing red blade into its head. She felt no resistance until her blade hit the deck. Removing the lightsaber, she stared at the body for a good moment, feeling its grasp on life fade slowly. She watched the arms twitch a little, possibly from motor spasms or a desperate effort to finish the job and kill her. Slowly the erratic movements came to an end and she no longer felt his presence in the Force as he faded from this realm.

"Now," Crystala began coldly as she turned her attention back to Tyr, "Unless there's another one on this ship, you have an agreement to uphold."

"Now," The woman spoke coldly as she turned her attention back to Tyr, "Unless there's another one on this ship, you have an agreement to uphold."

Tyr after a few moments of silence got up. As he did it was pretty obvious that he wasn't entirely recovered from his earlier predicament. Even though he could move and the nerve-bundles worked, his legs were still a bit numb. He touched a location on the bottom of the left vambrace. When he took away his hand he had a small datachip. He tossed it to the DJ; who effortlessly caught it.

"That is all the data I have. How much good it will be to you is something I don't know. There are twenty-four agents listed on that. Of that number, I know for a fact that about half of them are confirmed KIA. Some missions that could be described as suicidal that you sent them on. Ironically, I am also well aware those missions were considered a 'success'. As to the remaining nine agents, they are MIA or not responding. Thus, my guess is that they either retired or are still missing. Yes, I left out one.

She is re-instated as an Eldorrin Officer, a few hours ago. As such, she falls under my command and is technically out of your jurisdiction. I assigned her to protect your Surface Marshall for the time being. So, your government would not need to delegate any of its personnel to the task.

I hate to repeat myself, but I will do it anyway. One of our fleet captains who has plenty of experience in such attacks volunteered to personally offer his assistance to the Grand Admiral. He is no doubt already there and offering his assistance as I speak. His command would still be at the location. As I informed the Grand Admiral prior to going to the location with Commander Sunfell.

If you don't have anything else that you need or want to know, I request permission to leave your command Madam Director."

Staring at the visibly injured man with bottlemless black depths, Crystala debated how best to deal with him right now. The datachip might not contain anything useful, and there was still the matter of him breaking onto her ship in the first place. Glancing at the dead cyborg, she snorted before saying, "Go. Get out of my sight." Her tone remained cold but Tyr took the hint as he quickly liped past her, going back to the airlock as quick as he could. Before he disappeared around the bend, Crystala spoke up one last time, a dire warning she hoped he would heed. "I better not sense you sneaking aboard this ship again."

She remained motionless for a long while, Tyr quickly and quietly exiting the Observer via the same means he used to enter the ship, his stealthed shuttle once again sneaking past the surrounding ships, evading the guns that were, by now, on full alert as the entire task force was conducting sweeps, dispatching various TIEs and scouts to sweep the area for any trace of the vessel. Crystala turned her attention to the dead body and, with a final look of contempt, walked away from it, towards the blast doors. Activating her comm, she gave the all clear signal and the doors started to open up.

"I've dealt with the interloper," she declared as one of the team leaders approached her. With a slight tilt of her head in the direction of the body, she added, "Take it in for analysis but take every precaution, though it appears dead, I've long since learned people have a way of cheating death."

"Yes ma'am."

Now I had better inform the Emperor of what's going on, she thought, not looking forward to having to tell him that the ISIS had once again been compromised, this time by a lone, supposed envoy from another galaxy. Worse yet, she let him leave freely, on his strange ship. Whatever the reason, Crystala had a lot of work to do once again...

Tyr didn't wait after hearing her statement to "get the hell off my ship". Besides, he had the feeling that if he offered to answer any additional questions he wouldn't be leaving in one piece. After getting to the airlock and aboard his still cloaked ship. He started the fun task of navigating his way out of the increased security.

After several minutes of heart-pounding close calls he managed to get far enough away. Tyr drifted for a bit as he went to take care of his injuries. As it stood, he realized that his attempt to intercept the assassin would likely not go over well. He continued to be deep in thought as the regenerating beams ran over his body.

Odds are that any attempt of mine to be pursue diplomatic options myself will likely be blocked. If not viewed skeptically. I should contact the Sotaicho and ask for reassignment. As I was never trained to handle such delicate things. Even though I have the materials to learn it, I probably don't have the time. Doubtless, I will probably have to make some form of recompense for the actions that I took today...

"Helen prepare the information modules for diplomacy and statecraft. Have them ready for neural downloading."

"Hai! Is there anything else Tyr-sama?"

"Contact Sakura and Hatake and warn them that they might want to consider aborting and let the NIF deal with the attempts. On their own. That will be all..." Tyr having finished the healing of his wounds sat down in the control chair. After the neural-link was established he used his mind to communicate.

Helen, commence download of the information...Tyr, it will take 2 hours 28 minutes and 50 seconds...That is acceptable, commence if you please, Helen...Hai, Tyr-sama! One more thing, Helen set course for the EES Belisarius, evasive jump sequence Alpha-Niner, engage.

The Director suddenly got called by the captain, "We picked up a hyperspace jump. The source is not confirmed. But, it is probably the unidentified ship. To the best of our ability to determine the vector of the jump was...."

[OOC: To avoid confusion, I am doing Sakura and Hatake with this account]

Sakura ran through the halls of the large ESD. She knew that she was getting some awfully strange looks for several reasons. One, the chances of a girl that looks 19 go running through the halls. Second, she was wearing a non-NIF or NR uniform. Which most people were assuming was for some Merc Company. Third, cause most of the people were guys and also either openly or secretly perverts.

She had luckily found that the Surface Marshall was at the training center. Which really didn't strike Sakura as odd from what she knew. She figured the woman would much rather be shooting than running the army. As the Surface Marshall was a sniper by training. Sakura ran up to the doors of the training center. As she did she saw a few private's open the door coming out. Before the door closed, Sakura saw a very slight hazy outline passing through. She realized that she must have been at the right angle to for the edge of the holographic cloak to blur some. Sakura quickly and cautiously went up to the door and inside. The officer stopped her...

"Hey! Can I help you?"

"Yes, how much is it to use the sniper rifle range?" After hearing the answer and giving the officer the credits. Sakura quickly made her way in that direction. She was relieved as she 'felt' the assassin moving around but not as sure as he had been. He didn't know where his target was. So, she would have enough time to warn the Surface Marshall and possibly get her to safety.

She walked up to the locked door and opened it with the small keycard she had been given. She stepped in side and made sure that nothing could get in behind her. The door locked automatically. She saw that only one shooting lane was being used. As she walked over she saw a slim 5'10" woman with blonde hair. She stood respectfully behind and out of the lane. "Eri Ambicon, I assume that would be you...I am Sakura Uesugi. We need to talk Ma'am."

Meanwhile, Captain Hatake, managed to persuade the officer that had welcomed him at the airlock to let him speak to the Grand Admiral.

Hatake was escorted into the office by a large group of stormtroopers. "Grand Admiral, there was a breach of security of the gate when Tyr got there. Anyway, he asked me to come personally to warn you that a Myrderi Assassin is targeting you, the Surface Marshall and the Director-General. I am certain the goal is to kill one or all of you in order to spoil any diplomatic relations that may have or be developed.

If you think this is a joke of any sort, I was asked to show you this." He activated a full color hologram, showing a young woman with her guts ripped to bits and blood everywhere. "This is from your own stormtrooper's recording that were with Tyr at the time. This was our operator that was at the gate. She was supposed to have given the control codes for the gate to Tyr and thus to Commander Sunfell."

It wasn't often Eri got a chance to practice her craft these days, and any opportunity she got to spend time with a rifle in her hands was a welcome distraction from the stresses of her other job. She was holding an E-11s in her hands, a far cry from the Nightstinger or Twilightstriker she favored but she had nothing against the rifle in her hands right now. Sure, the beam was visible but it carried an extra shot compared to the Nightstinger and was an incredibly rugged piece of work, Eri remembered using the gun to beat an NR commando to death after being jumped only to still be able to use the rifle later on without any performance issues. Seems like so long ago, she thought as she looked through the scope at the targets down the range. She was about to pull the trigger when her since honed sixth-sense tingled on the back of her neck, warning her that someone was approaching her, their eyes firmly upon the back of her head.

"Eri Ambicon, I assume that would be you...I am Sakura Uesugi. We need to talk Ma'am."

Had Eri not been aboard an NIF warship, she might have drawn one of her blaster pistols and spun around before a single word had escaped Sakura's mouth. Old habits were really hard to shake and it was clear that Eri tensed up at being approached so suddenly. Still staring through the scope, Eri felt the stress return to her mind, the army unable to run itself for even a handful of minutes it seemed as her aim started to waver again. So much for getting in some practice...

Exhaling a breath she had been holding in to slow her heart rate and steady her aim which had long since been a moot point now, Eri slowly lowered the rifle and hung her head down. There was no where she could go, nothing she could do without someone or something distracting her away from what she wanted to be doing. She hadn't been to the range for four days straight, a new- if dubious- record for her. It was really starting to get to the point she was seriously debating conceding defeat and giving up being a sniper for good. I'm going to be lucky to hit the dorsal side of a Star Destroyer from a meter away if this keeps up, Eri thought as she slowly turned around to regard the woman addressing her. Great, and to top things off, she's not even an officer or soldier in the Federation. It was one thing to be pulled away because someone with the NIF needed her, but the woman who identified herself as Sakura Uesugi appeared to be a merc which meant whatever this would be about, it wasn't necessarily going to put the NIF's interests first.

"Do I really want to know what about?" Eri began tiredly as she lifted the E-11s and rested it across her shoulders, letting her arms rest and dangle over it as it was held in place behind her neck, "Because if it's about work, I'm the wrong person to talk to." She smiled weakly in a serious, concerted effort to appear friendly despite her weary tone and attitude. It wasn't right for her to let her frustrations affect people who had little to no association with them, but it was getting harder and harder to remain upbeat about anything these days. "If it's pointers you're after," Eri added quickly, suspecting this merc was interested in becoming a better markswoman, "I think the best pieces of advice I can give are 'squeeze, don't pull' and 'practice'. Everything else boils down to the user."

'Aren't you popular today?'

McFini glanced over at the Royal Guard with a slightly bemused look on his face. It's like Grand Central Station here, he thought, suspecting the guard would pick up on it and roll her eyes in response. Unable to help himself, he added, And I think you can easily remove the word 'today' from that.

It was a welcome change, to see so many people come and go as he didn't remember the last time he had this many visitors. Regarding Captain Hatake, he listened to what the man had to say with a mix of interest and bafflement. So there was an assassin after him? That made McFini laugh. "I've heard that one a few times," he managed before controlling himself a little more, "And yet, here I am, albeit, with a guard detail that would be better suited protecting the Emperor or even the Commander of Second Fleet than myself but it seems the choice isn't mine to make."

'Ask him for details about this assassin.' Charal's voice in his head was firm, almost commanding as she viewed the possibility very seriously despite it coming from an alien who had no real affiliation with the Federation.

"What can you tell me about this Myrderi Assassin?" McFini began slowly, looking at the holo and wondering if the term was being used or if 'Myrderi' was just another way of saying 'butcher'. "I always thought assassins were supposed to be efficient, swift and... clean. That holo appears to be anything but leading me to think whoever these people are, they're little more than over-eager psychopaths who delight in making as much of a mess of things as possible."

Hearing the response from the woman, wasn't surprising. Sakura waited respectfully for her to finish. "Actually ma'am, that is not why I am here." She pointed at a small rank indicator on the collar and the emblem on her shoulder. "Technically, I should have said Lieutenant Sakura Uesugi, Eldorrin Empire." She saw the woman's eyes narrow. Before she could interrupt, Sakura continued, "You are no doubt wanting to know how I got on this ship. However, all I will say is that I didn't break my way in. There is a more important issue at hand. You are targeted by an assassin. He, more properly 'it', is still looking for you in the main area

If you can get out of here without going through those doors, I would highly recommend it. I will use my mimicking cloak to appear as you. Then I will be the one attacked. That way you won't be at risk and not involved."

The woman saw her touch a button on her vambrace. In a moment, the woman's appearance was the same as the Surface Marshall. The 'girl' spoke again with urgency, "If you don't believe me just contact the Director-General who has been engaged by now. Though if you chose to, please do it after covertly escaping...As there is no reason for you to risk your life for me. Besides, if he kills me, than you will be safe. Of course, if you try to intervene, I will do whatever it takes to prevent you or your people from getting injured."

The Surface Marshall noticed the emphasis in the last sentence. Then as she stared the girl walked over towards the door and turned back to look at her. "Go, Ma'am and best of luck to you."

Sakura stepped out and as she did she locked the door behind her and left the key in. She knew the woman inside couldn't get out of it. At least, she knew that the Surface Marshall was safe. Then Sakura started to walk out of the Training Center. Several troopers acknowledged her as she walked past. Then what she expected happened...

There was only a slight tingling feeling as her senses picked up the movement of an object through the air. Sakura whirled with a lightning reflexes and grace while drawing and parrying the attack with a vibroblade. Not losing a beat Sakura's fist struck the control panel on the guantlet, disabling the cloak. Then she moved and disengaged the knife and hammer-fisted it into the back of the cybernetic monster.

The Troopers all around her were still stunned by what had just happened. "Don't interfere!" Commanded Sakura in the mimicked Surface Marshall's voice.

Sakura stood just out of engagement range of his wrist-mounted blades. In her clenched hand was the vibro-dagger. In horror she saw it activate another pair of blades from the other wrist. Sakura drew another vibrodagger in response...

If this couldn't have gotten any worse. I need to be careful not to do something that will compromise my substitution.

"Grand Admiral, they are very efficient and swift. If my own past experiences have taught me anything they 'delight' in killing excruciatingly painfully and efficiently. Their blades tend to be coated or dripping some sort of neural paralytic. Its purpose is to paralyze the target so they can't fight back. All it takes is a small nick. Should the nick be on an extremity it might be a bit of time till you notice it. Normally, they hit the torso or abdomen. Then you will notice it immediately no matter how small the wound is. Similarly, the edges of the blades are serrated... Other than that, he is probably carrying some form of plasma cannon or rifle. That is if we are unlucky. There are normally stun grenades and the like to reduce or eliminate protective details.

Myrderi is the name they earned for themselves. It means 'murderer'. The species that gave them that name is, killed off. They are a race that values and idolizes violence, especially against other sentient beings."

"I doubt it's anything these fine folks can't handle," McFini mused as he gestured to the stormtroopers and royal guard in the room. "But I thank you for your warning nonetheless." He sighed once, adding half-jokingly, "Now I'm going to be confined to this office and my quarters. Thank the Force Tavia isn't around or your assassin would doubtlessly use her to get to me." One thing did bother McFini, and that was the particular choice of targets from these assassins. I can see why they would target Eri, Crystala and myself, but why not Kane or Jacen? They too important to be slain?

No matter the case or reason, McFini wasn't going to let some concern about yet another assassin keep him from doing things as he normally would. "If you do run into this fellow, tell him to take a number, I'm sure there are a few New Republic kill teams who are still sore after I helped the then Supreme Commander and a bunch of NIF top brass escape Coruscant." Chuckling, he quickly added, "That or just a general desire to see the New Imperial Federation with one less Grand Admiral standing around."

Eri blinked, her mind trying to register if what she had just witnessed was real or some perceived illusion. Already part of her was fearing this was some sort of Dark Jedi mind trick to get her to do something unknowingly for them. This person, who had somehow managed to adopt her appearance, who had claimed to be part of some Empire that Eri had never even heard of, wanted the Surface Marshal to leave the training center because of some supposed assassin. Eri wasn't sure which was more laughable, the fact that the Dark Jedi were trying to trick her through some sort of false concern for her well-being or that the Dark Jedi were spinning some sort of story that she was targeted for assassination and she couldn't take care of herself in the first place.

Watching the doppelganger walk away, Eri considered the words she had just heard very carefully. The last thing she was going to do was call their bluff and contact the Director-General. Whatever the game was, that woman was in on it too as it stank of ISIS involvement. Picking up her rifle, Eri waited for her fake self to disappear out the door before she followed after. Trying the door, she was amused it was locked and not responding to her code cylinders which had otherwise given her access to everything save personal quarters of those not in the army, critical systems aboard the vessel that she neither needed nor wanted access to and the like. Glancing at the control panel next to it, she tried the override code and, as expected, the door opened, allowing Eri exit.

As soon as she was outside, a pair of Stormtroopers approached her and did a double-take. Eri couldn't see their expressions but their body movement and the quick glances over their shoulders told Eri exactly what direction she needed to go in. Walking past them without a word, she decided it best to leave them guessing least this was all part of the Dark Jedi's stupid little game. Nearing the exit of the training center, she heard the sounds of blaster fire along with shouts of other troops and officers. Eri even caught someone yelling out her last name, saying to get away. Ironically, Eri picked up the pace and approached the fight. The battle sounded fierce but the numerous yells, death cries and clattering of plasteel hitting the deck told Eri things didn't sound to be going very well for the soldiers who were fighting. Reaching the junction, Eri peeked around the corner and nearly facepalmed as she watched the mimic of herself fighting against what appeared to be some cybernetic junkie with some wicked wrist blades. By the Core, she cursed as she held the E-11s in both hands and pointed it around the corner, That must be one stupid assassin, not doing their research like that. Fighting in such a manner was something Eri tended to avoid, and she'd sooner draw a blaster, or two, and use those to keep people at arms reach, even if she used the grip of the gun to break a few skulls.

Peering down the scope, she slowly lined up the crosshairs on the would-be assassin while the person appearing like her did an admirable job with the simple vibroknife, holding the assassin back. She was about to pull the trigger when, one of the fallen Stormtroopers who wasn't quite dead, noticed Eri around the corner and yelled, "Marshal, watch out for the sniper behind you!" That drew everyone's attention over to the real Eri and quickly caused confusion as people started seeing double. Not wasting her opportunity, Eri pulled the trigger on the E-11s, a thin green beam of light appearing suddenly, crossing the distance at the speed of light and punching a thin hole straight into the eye socket of the assassin, the shot blasting out the back of his head in a shower of gore and metal.

Tsk, Eri lowered the gun, looking unhappy, I was aiming for between the eyes...

Despite her specific orders to not interfere, several stormtroopers stepped in and tried to take 'it' from behind. It whirled around using the wrist-blades to force Sakura back and slice through the armor of the troopers. In the next stroke its blade was moving back up to kill them on its way towards Sakura.

Sakura did 'the stupid thing' she used a small burst of her natural speed to put herself in the way. Using both daggers she parried the cut. Just as quickly she rotated the crossed daggers to force an arm-bar and stepped behind the arm. Using her should to keep the arm straight, she snapped harshly "I am your opponent!!" She then kicked the two wounded stormies back across the well polished durasteel floor. After pushing the assassin forwards and away couple of steps, Sakura deftly flicked the two vibroswords up into the air. Dropping the daggers she caught the vibroswords; as it turned back to Sakura.

Sakura didn't wait for it to attack, she took the initiative. Immediately, attacking with both blades without holding back any of her actual skill. The assassin was taken back for only a moment before making full use of its cybernetic enhanced strength to reverse the scales on the 'fake' Surface Marshall.

Within a few moments it was taking all of Sakura's skill to hold her ground. As she knew if she started to appear to be losing some good-meaning trooper would get him/herself killed. Suddenly, one of the troopers that had been wounded yelled at her to watch out for a sniper...

There isn't a sniper...I know there is only one of them. What the..!!

As a green bolt passed by her head and into the eye of the slayer. As it fell the swing it had readied prior to being shot, snapped forward and cleaved the mimic-cloak. Sakura managed to jump back and avoid her flesh being cut. Then she heard and saw a bunch of blasters being pointed at her.

"Easy boys! I am not here to cause you trouble." Sakura put the blades onto the floor and then pushed them gently over to the troopers. She turned around and saw the real Surface Marshall walking over. Smiling Sakura spoke, "Your welcome Surface Marshall Eri Ambicon. Also, very nice shot..."

Hatake nodded, "I am sure that they are more than competent. Your welcome for telling you in person. I can either stay here or return to my ship, the EES Belisarius. Whichever you would prefer Grand Admiral, Sir."

"I don't recall thanking you," Eri began, the rifle still in her hands as she glanced at the dead assassin. "But, sure, thanks... Though if you're going to impersonate me, you might want to lose the blades next time." She gestured to the knives on the floor, adding sourly, "I only keep one with me and I seldom resort to it first if ever. As for the shot... I have a ways to go it seems... Anyways, how many more of them are there?"

It seemed that, if this was some sort of ruse or ploy by the Dark Jedi, she was either playing right into their hands or she had just screwed up whatever plan they had created. Sadly, Sakura wasn't giving her any hints. "And do you mind going over who you are exactly? You lost me after you dropped your name."

Sakura shrugged, "I doubted that the now dead assassin would have known that little detail. Also, I had to engage him at knife range. Unless I wanted to put your troopers at risk. No, there is only one. The other two would be targeting the Director-General of ISIS and Grand-Admiral Tavish McFini...SHIT!"

Eri saw the woman suddenly slam and smash a console on the assassin's arm. Then look annoyed...

"It seems that they have a data recorder to confirm and broadcast their success or failure to their teammates. That is a new device. They didn't have that before...

Anyway, my name is Sakura Uesugi. The oldest daughter of the Noble House Uesugi. I am a Lieutenant of the Eldorrin Empire's Special Combat Ops Division of the Anla'Shok. I would have expected that you would have been notified by Emperor Kane of our contact. Or am I incorrect in my assumption? Just to make sure I am clear, I am not a threat to you, your men or this ship."

"You expect too much then. Kane doesn't really tell me a whole lot and I had thought this was all some part of his masterful plan, whatever it is." Eri didn't mind being wrong, Sakura seemed like a decent enough person but nothing about what she was saying made any sense but it was obvious that the Emperor knew more. Laughing once, she added, "I had honestly expected this to be some sort of charrade."

Folding her arms across her chest, one thing did puzzle Eri and she wasn't going to hesitate speaking her mind. "Do tell me, why would your Empire be concerned for my safety or even the safety of the other two people you mentioned? Why care about the Federation at all?" The mention of a noble house made Eri think the woman was a Hapan, but she didn't look the part nor did she carry that air of arrogant nobility that all Hapan women waltzed around with. "I can understand why you'd claim you're no threat to anyone, but it seems to me that if you're here killing assassins who threaten people like me, a simple diplomat or sharing of intel would be a lot more effective and less intrusive..."

She wasn't going to ask how Sakura got aboard this vessel, it could just as easily be assumed some diplomatic ties were established with this Empire and she happened to be passing by. It was all too neat and tidy and the whole ruse was riddled with so many holes it would be lucky if it could hold an ounce of water.

"The answer is actually very simple. We made contact with you. Soon afterward, we were declared war upon. Some young-ling race has gotten the ideas into their heads they can walk over us, take our technology and then conquer you guys. " As she said young-ling race, she kicked the dead assassin. Continuing, "We care cause there would only be one goal from killing you and the other two. Attempt to frame us for the deeds and hope that any good relations crumble. Ideally, you would turn your attention to us and come at us from the other side. Really, it is just a classic framing and deception maneuver.

As to the diplomat sharing information and such, that is a bit more complicated. Presently our small and under-used diplomatic department is rather preoccupied trying to keep the war we are in 'civil'. Thus the ambassador is technically my superior officer for this galaxy. The Commander, choose instead to take matters under our responsibility and do whatever it took to keep our matters out of your 'backyard'. With all respect, Surface Marshall, he and I are military officers like yourself. Diplomatic affairs is not his forte. So, you could say that our hand was forced.

If you don't need or want to know anything, I should really be leaving. Pleasure to meet you in person Surface Marshall!"

As the datapad that Crystala was given displayed the information for the 'infiltrators' she noticed something perculiar. All but three were field agents in ISIS. The three that weren't were barely able to access the information that she had heard. The only explanation was that either this was not a complete list. Or the list was complete but didn't contain all the details. Most notably how the information was obtained and when.

Pause download Helen. Remaining time 50 minutes. May I ask why? Yes, please display all information up to the Sotaicho's level of clearance with respect to our operatives. Tyr, you know that you are not authorized to see that much. Just do it Helen! There is a question I need to answer. Alright, I am displaying it now.

Tyr watched as the list scrolled by on the large display in the front of the cockpit. "Skip it forward to New Order Era." Then he suddenly he said, "There! There is an inconsistency. The agent number is repeated. Why?" Helen's holographic avatar looked at the data then "Let me confirm that is correct. That is strange, the data point is reading as genuine."

"Helen, search the remainder for any other similar repeating Agent-IDs." A minute went by and she indicated the search was complete. "Display the results...WHAT?! This makes no sense. The vast majority of the 'agents' we have both in the NIF and NR are faked. On just a hunch, check it against all the list of agents we know are killed or MIA or retired to live here. Of those, how many are still alive?"

Helen quickly ran the search, "Two. Both are well known to us. One is Rikku and Sakura Uesugi's older sister, Hinamori. The other is Zetsu Kachi. Hinamori's present location is not displayed. We do know that, she fell in love with a human male and married him. Zetsu, retired to to Tatooine and has been there ever since, for the last two-hundred years."

Tyr thought for a moment, "Out of curiosity, when did Hinamori request leave from service and settle down?"

"That was twenty-five years ago."

"Is it confirmed that Hinamori Uesugi is in fact genuine? Also, what name does she go by nowadays?"

Helen looked strangely at Tyr, "Yes, it is. Rikku and Sakura visited her within the last few years and right before leaving on ICE. If there was anything amiss, they would know. As to the name she has now, you would need to ask Sakura that. Those details are only known to the members of the Uesugi House. It says they refused to include further details. The reason stated was concerns over security."

Tyr eyes narrowed as he looked hard at the notice. "Has any of the other 13 Noble Houses followed a similar or same policy shift in the last several hundred years?"

"Yes, all thirteen of them. Their policies are all still in place and have not yet been repealed by the Houses. Why is there something that you are considering?"

"Helen, take us out of hyperspace. Set a direct and return route to the last known location of the Observer. I think that this necessitates a re-evaluation of the material I gave the Director-General."

Helen nodded, "Agree! However, you planning on reporting any of this?"

"Yes, I will be sure to talk to Hatake. He will look into it personally, I know. He is a member of the House Takeda. As such, I am sure that it will be handled discreetly and efficiently. On the way back to speak to the Director-General, I want you to sort and analyze all the data concerning the Anla'Shok and specifically any infiltrations of the Imperial, NIF or NR services. While on the way back resume the neural download. I want to be ready and acquainted this time with proper etiquette. Then prepare the findings so I can present them to the Director-General. Hopefully, I can smooth over our initially bad first meeting."

"Affirmative! Entering hyperspace now..."

A hour later...

Tyr's shuttle exited hyperspace at the standard hailing and neutral distance. This time he didn't raise the cloak nor the shields. Instead he sent a direct hail towards the Observer.

"Director-General, I am not here to get shot up. But, I found something that I think you will want to see. I hate to say but it seems that both you and the Anla'Shok have been tricked. I would love to explain in detail. However, I would much rather do it face to face. I propose that I dock with your ship, no tricky maneuvers or jumps. If given permission, I will approach and dock at the your prescribed speed, with shields and weapons offline. It would be easiest to show you the data logs aboard the shuttle. I would think that is acceptable; considering how we both know that you can kill me at will. I humbly await your response Madam Director-General."

I thought he would have gotten the hint the first time, Crystala thought as she considered how to deal with the return of Tyr. Contacting the Captain, she gave him a simple set of instructions. "Allow him to return to the vessel but exercise gamma level precautions." Getting back to her feet, she walked to the docking hatch airlock, armed with her lightsaber and ordering three squads of stromtroopers on standy just beyond the trio of blast doors that would seal her and the alien off from the rest of the ship once again.

Waiting on the otherside of the hatch, arms folded across her chest, Crystala waited as the ship docked with the Observer and the airlock began running through the cycles. When it finally opened up, she regarded the alien with gray eyes. "I had a feeling we would meet again," she confessed wearily, "I didn't imagine it would be quite this soon however." Flicking some of her blue hair back over her shoulder, she glanced past the man and asked, "So, what is it that you have to show me that's made you think coming back here to meet with me directly would be worth the potential risk to your life and well-being?"
