Luciana reviewed the receipts in her makeshift office inside an old metal office building that sat close to the entrance to the massive warehouse complex she invested in. It had served as food and ore storage for a long time until a much better facility was opened up by a large company that was able to consolidate everything to one easy to reach location which made it perfect for exporters as it cut costs down. That left a large number of old complexes like this one abandoned and near useless due to the costs necessary to build something better. Eventually the city would have claimed the land and built something here once the urban sprawl got this far but the prices were low enough right now that she managed to scoop up the entire place for a bargain price.

From there, she had to invest a bit of credits to fix up the main office building she was now sitting in. Rusty shacks didn't exactly scream reputation to potential clients though, as it stood at the moment, she was still in the recruitment process and had just spent a great deal of credits on weapons, armor and vehicles on top of the land.

Thank the Force I can afford all this without resorting to taking out a loan. That gave her pause as she quickly remembered she did have a loan taken out, but not with any bank. Red Jack was going to remind her that all this success was because of his "earnest" investment back just before the Corellian insurrection and while she could probably pay him back most of it with what she had left, keeping it around as emergency expenses was a far more sound plan.

Her com buzzed and the person on the other end was informing her that the first of her shipments were due to arrive in about three minutes. Getting to her feet, she left the office and took the stairs down to the ground floor, the lift was being worked on right now by a group of service droids under contract to fix the place up. Stepping outside, she looked at the high duracrete walls that surrounded the place. It kept raiders out back when the place was used as a store house and they would serve the same purpose, the only change being what was stored.

In the distance, in one of the open warehouses, blaster fire filled the air. She didn't pay much attention to it as it sounded as it should, her employees familiarizing themselves with some of the blasters and rifles she managed to pick up from Red Jack for more bargain prices. The target holos were also picked up from him, military grade stuff that he said he acquired during a recent job helping the NIF recover something. He didn't say what exactly, but she didn't care enough to ask.

Walking over to one of the many empty buildings, she waited patiently. The distant roar of engines got closer as four modified Raptor transports came drifting in, s-foil wings spread out to help them maneuver around in the air above Tralus. With all the skill expected from a reputable company, the pilots brought the four transports inside the spacious interior before retracting the wings and shutting down the engines. A shuttle that was following close behind brought itself down and landed outside, close to the building but since it would be leaving shortly, there was no point going inside. As the four transport pilots climbed aboard the shuttle, a man in a business suit approached Luciana.

"Care to go over the Raptors?" he asked, glad to be the one who made the deal as he stood to make a hefty commission from the sale of the ships. Since that day in the Firro when she first stepped foot into the incom corporation office, he dreamed of this moment every night till now.

"No," Luciana shook her head, noticing out of the corner of her eye the rep turn around at the sound of all the blaster fire behind him from the other building. "If I have any complains, you'll know." From her pocket, she produced a credstick loaded with the agreed upon amount, 880,000 credits. He pulled out a small device and checked the amount to make sure she didn't put in a half credit less. Content with the amount, he turned and returned to the shuttle though not before shaking her hand, seeming far too happy with himself.

After the shuttle took off, Luciana turned to admire her newest acquisitions. How much do they make per sale? she wondered. The question didn't linger as she took stock knowing she would be making a great deal more in the near future. That didn't matter so much as what those credits would be a result of and as she climbed aboard one and took a seat in the cockpit, she smiled again, her right eye yellow with the same glee she felt inside.

A day later, the next delivery was due to arrive, this one the five StarViper attack platforms she had ordered from MandalMotors. It was hard not to recall her trip to Mandalore, the trip there being uneventful but her time there being watched under careful scrutiny as they didn't exactly hold much trust to outsiders, whatever their intent. MandalMotors had a history of dealing with other organizations and their StarVipers weren't exactly flying out of their factories since only two groups had invested in them, the Black Sun and the Zann Consortium.

Having proved she had credits enough to actually buy the ships, they wanted payment up front, it took a third party to ensure their delivery since MandalMotors couldn't be bothered to send the StarVipers further than their own planetary boarder. Even though she happened to wear blue, a colour that she later learned signified reliability, it wasn't enough to convince them to travel halfway across the galaxy to deliver five starfighters. That's where Red Jack came in though at a yet to be determined cost to her for this favor.

Her time there was an interesting experience as she got to witness a vastly different culture. Everyone there knew how to fight from the lowly farmer to the knowledgeable engineer. In some sense, it felt like a place Luciana could call home. Thankfully, just because they were a nomadic group didn't translate to an outward hostility to every visitor to set foot on their world.

Thinking back on her time there, Luciana contemplated a return trip, thinking about hiring some Mandalorian mercs to the Silver Infinity Network. Who wouldn't want a bunch of elite warriors on their side?

The comm crackled suddenly as someone from RJs group announced they were in system and would be there within the hour. "Good, just set them down in the open hanger." While they were on time, she was still slightly skeptical that Red Jack hadn't decided to take them out for a test run against a convoy. Luciana reviewed the roster of people under her employ, specifically at the four pilots she had hired specifically to pilot the StarVipers. Two were former TIE pilots, one a recent NR flight school reject and the last a former escort pilot for a VIP service that didn't pay enough.

An hour later, Luciana was looking over the starfighters, admiring their design, appearance and shape. They were different, a vast departure to what the galaxy was used to with static designs with few, if any, moving parts. "I'm going to have to buy a lot more to make a real impact," she commented absently to herself, already set in her mind that these were going to be the main, if only, starfighter in her company. "But it's a start..."
