These uniform plaques reflect the New Imperial Federation rank hierarchy. Feel free to use
them to display your status. While NIF rank plaques derives from the Galactic Empire, the
NIF uses a more standardized system. Lesser number and type of code cylinders indicate
Placing. The proper placing of the plaque is on the left torso area. The first code cylinder should
always be placed into the left pocket. The second cylinder is always placed in the right
pocket. Third cylinder in left, fourth in right. There are never more than four cylinders.
Salute. When in uniform, officers and soldier greet each other with the Imperial
Salute. This is done by lifting the right hand to the left area of the chest with the hand
facing downward and the arm straight. Special respect may be given by a head nod, looking downward for two seconds while standing in attention. This is performed when the Emperor
or his special envoys has presented orders.
