Rank Plaques and Code Cylinders
Imperial Database > Rank Plaques and Code Cylinders

These uniform plaques reflect the New Imperial Federation rank hierarchy. Feel free to use them to display your status. While NIF rank plaques derives from the Galactic Empire, the NIF uses a more standardized system. Lesser number and type of code cylinders indicate higher rank.

Placing. The proper placing of the plaque is on the left torso area. The first code cylinder should always be placed into the left pocket. The second cylinder is always placed in the right pocket. Third cylinder in left, fourth in right. There are never more than four cylinders.

Salute. When in uniform, officers and soldier greet each other with the Imperial Salute. This is done by lifting the right hand to the left area of the chest with the hand facing downward and the arm straight. Special respect may be given by a head nod, looking downward for two seconds while standing in attention. This is performed when the Emperor or his special envoys has presented orders.
