Trade Federation Battleship Mk III

The Trade Federation's warships, orginally created from merchant vessels, were constantly upgraded from the Battle of Naboo and throughout the Clone Wars. By the end of the Clone Wars, they were upgraded with numerous heavy batteries. This is the "final" version of the ship before the Trade Federation was dismantled. It is the only version of the Lucrehulk battleship that comes close to fulfilling the name. It matches about 5 ISDs in terms of firepower with a larger number of medium weapons and is on the Imperial scale more apropriately considered a large cruiser, though it makes up for it in some situations with its large complement of drone fighters. Many of these ships were bought by the CSA. An oddity of this ship is the total lack of light anti-fighter weapons, where the Lucrehulk instead relies on its vast complement of Vulture drones, other droid fighters, and heavy shields. Another is that the central core of the ship can land and take off on its own - the Core also mounts the point defences lasers, 270 in total. Ref: Galactic Gallery on Hyperspace.

Trade Federation Battleship Mk II

The Trade Federation's warships, orginally created from merchant vessels, were constantly upgraded from the Battle of Naboo and throughout the Clone Wars. By the end of the Clone Wars, they were upgraded with numerous heavy batteries situated on the central core sphere (which can detach and land on its own). It was a prudent upgrade, because prior to this, the vessels had decent shields but woefully inadequate weaponry, as evident by the outcome of the Battle of Geonosis, where Republican Acclamators easily defeated numerous TFBs. Even with the addition of heavy turbolasers, the ships are underarmed for their size, but at least this version is capable of defeating the occasional cruiser on its own. Trade Federation Battleship

These ships were used by the Neimoidian-controlled Trade Federation in the late age of the Old Republic. When the Trade Federation secretly began to building armed forces, their heavy freighters were converted for war. They have enormous hangar bays as a leftover from their conversion, and are capable of carrying up to 5 million tons of cargo, but they had only limited weaponry. After the Battle of Naboo, the Republic ordered the Federation to disassemble most of their battleships. The answer was that the ships were further modified so that the central core sphere of the ship can land seperately from the main vessel, making the apperance of a disassembled ship, but in reality, they can reattach quickly. The core ships carries 270 point defence lasers on its own. Some versions of these ships have an extensive communications array on its dorsal surface to remotely control the droid armies of the Trade Federation. These "droid control ships" are considerably larger than the regular federation battleships, at near 5 km in diameter. After the Battle of Naboo, the Trade Federation realized the weakness of having remote controlled droids and gave their basic B1 infantry droid improved autonomy, as well as starting to produce the improved B2 model, nicknamed "super battledroid" though still in relatively small numbers. After the Clone Wars, these ships were bought by the CSA and other organizations.

Chiss Ascendancy Star Destroyer Mk II

The Chiss Ascendancy is a small oligarchy in the Unknown Regions. With the advent of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Chiss gradually got a closer cooperation with the Imperial Remnant forces, even though they consider Thrawn a traitor along with his House Nuruodo. Thrawn's Empire of the Hand builds on Imperial Remnant technology and methods, and this influence seems to have gradually sipped over to Chiss Proper. This Star Destroyer was observed at the Battle of Kr, and is notably different from Imperial ships while it maintains obvious similarities. The Chiss also use more standard Imperial vessels, albeit modified for their own needs.

This class of Star Destroyer is somewhat larger than a Victory, which it was first mistaken as. But like with all Chiss modified Star Destroyers, it has no conning tower. It features more organic lines than a Victory and slightly more tapered structure, along with various other differences. It carries Nsiss-class Clawcraft and conventional turbolaser weaponry. This variant is believed to include a cloaking device in the forward blister, technology most likely to come from the Imperial Remnant, who made widespread use of such at the time. All statistics are estimated.

Bakura-class Star Destroyer

The Bakura-class was designed by the people of Bakura as a means to defend themselves against the Ssi-Ruuk when the Empire collapsed after the Battle of Endor. It was based on a ISD Mk II reactor core and ISD armaments, but otherwise look nothing alike. Only three were built by the time of the Corellian Crisis. The NR convinced the Bakurans to send their destroyers to help since the Alliance had helped Bakura during the war with the Ssi-Ruuk. Only two ships remained - the Defender and the Sentinel, while the Watchkeeper was lost in the war. The three BSDs are unique and look different from each other, but have the same capabilities. Bakurans continued to build up their military.

The Bakura-class was a highly innovative ship class - it had internal gravity well projectors a decade before the NRDF launched the Mon Mothma, and a unique device called the HIMS, Hyperwave Inertial Momentum Sustainer. If the hyperdrive was cut off in an interdiction field, HIMS would form a static hyperspace bubble around the ship, allowing it to remain in hyperspace, while accumulated momentum allowed the ship to continue on course past the interdiction field. The device was first tested out on the Namana-class light cruisers. To this date, no one else have deviced a means against interdiction.

Aside from the specialities, the Bakura-class is also a highly able combat vessel, essentially an improved ISD Mk II, but with cuts in carrying capacity since the Bakura-class is considerably smaller. They typically carried GPAFs, General Purpose Attack Fighters, also a Bakuran design.

Battle Dragon

The Hapes Cluster is very wealthy and has stayed outside of galactic business for a long time, remaining largely isolationistic. As a result, they have developed certain unusual technologies and maintains a well-equipped, well organized navy. The Battle Dragon is the signature Hapan ship. It does not have a large amount of arms for its size, so Battle Dragons must work in concert to bring down larger enemy ships. Their turbolasers have a refire deficiency, only able to fire with a RoF 1/3rd that of comparable standard weapons. Since Hapan ships are not slower or have weaker shields than the galactic norm, this is almost certainly the result of poor cryocooling technology rather than weaker powerplants. To compensate for the lower rate of fire, Battle Dragons have a unique rail system for their turbolasers, allowing a fired weapon to be rotated away to put a fresh one on the target. This allows a Battle Dragon to produce an impressive stream of continuous fire on any single target (estimated with between 4-5 times the normal ROF for heavy turbolasers), but they are unable to engage more than four targets at once and with no more than 10 turbolasers at any one target. Also, elite starfighter pilots can fly into the open structure of the ship to strafe while the Dragon is unable to counterfire. For these reasons, the Dragons usually operates in groups, often in concert with Nova-class Cruisers. The Hapans also use another unique weapon, the pulsemass mine. It was developed from Imperial gravity well generators, deploys into hyperspace and simulates a massive object in realspace in a similar fashion to the imperial weapon, which autotriggers the saftey shutdown of hyperdrives, rendering nearby ships unable to enter or stay in hpyerspace. A shortcoming of the pulsemass mine is that it remains effective for only about two minutes. The Hapan navy consists at all time of 63 Battle Dragons, one for each major world in the Hapan Cluster. They normally carry 2 squadrons of My'til fighters and 1 squadron of Hetrinar Bombers, but after the Hapan's alliance with the New Republic and its comeback on the galactic scene, some carries X-Wings.

New Imperial Federation - Navy Order Of Battle

Munificient-class Star Frigate

A Star Frigate is a designation following the Imperial system. It is not comparable with a common frigate, rather a medium cruiser. The Munificient-class was devised and used by the Intergalactic Banking Clan in the Old Republic to defend their private transaction network, put pressure on worlds in debt, serve as secure mobile hyperwave transceivers stations for their financial network, transfer key financial assets, and guard treasure vaults. When the Banking Clan joined the separatists in the Clone Wars, these ships came into use in Separatist fleets.

Munificient-class carries a dual fixed turbolaser along its main axis which takes fifteen minutes to charge up, but which can melt a 1,000 km ice moon or deplete the shields of a class III defence station (which is comparable to an ISD) when discharged. They are a serious threat even to heavy cruisers. These weapons function similar to the heavy turbolasers on a monitor, or the much larger and more powerful superlaser aboard the Eclipse- and Sovereign-class ships. Aside from the primary turbolasers, it carries a fair amount of varied weapons. Althogether the Munificient makes an excellent heavy combat support ship for heavier warships. On their own they are somewhat vulnerable since they lack the heavy broadsides of main ships. It carries no fighters but is well protected against fighter attacks. It also makes an excellent communications ship and can jam nearby enemy ships. It can avoid friendly ships but is not powerful enough to affect space stations (and presumably, not powerful enough to jam very large spaceships). Jammed ships will have diffulty operating their computers. When targeting the Munificient, their fire control systems will also be affected.

Nova-class Cruiser

Nova-class Cruisers are designed to complement and support Hapan Battle Dragons. The design is less than a decade old and incorporates a number of innovations, many of them stolen from Imperial corporations such as Kuat Drive Yards and SoroSuub. Newer Nova Cruisers even have backup shield generators, rumoured to be stolen from Mon Calamari Shipyards. The result is a cruiser that is exceptionally swift at both sublight and hyper-lightspeeds, more than capable of dealing with pirates and easily a match for modern warships. Like Battle Dragons, it has tremendous capacity in a small package. It normally carries 2 Miy'til fighter squadrons, and 6 Hetrinar Assault Bombers. A unique design consisting of two folding shield plates moves forward to give extra protection on the sides of the bridge during battle.

Aramadia-class Thrustship

Code-named "T-Type" and nicknamed "Fat Man", this is the main combat cruiser of the Yevethan space force. It is a 240 meter diameter spheroid with chemical thrust pulse-lift engine cones protruding from one end. The spherical design makes it very easy to shield strongly - the shield rating surpasses even Star Destroyers, making these vessels very difficult to damage. The smooth, rounded surface allows maximum shielding capability with minimal power input, unlike a boxy starship which requires multiple generators. Yevethan unarmed troop transports look quite similar, making it difficult to discern. When it travels through an atmosphere, it is very noisy. The ship is graded at medium cruiser-class weaponry, armed with 8 turbolaser batteries mounted on an internal shift-track spaced around the ship to defend any angle of attack. Up to four batteries can be linked together to concentrate fire on a single target. It also carries 3 proton torpedo launchers, a centrally mounted gravity bomb launcher with 4 bombs per load, and 4 ten-tube missile batteries. The gravity bombs are too slow to be effective against fighters (and easy pickings for counter-fire), but their side-steering maneuvering thrusters give them easy pickings at slower vessels and, being matter weapons, they are unaffected by energy shields. These ships carry 40 Yevethan D-type fighters.

Kaloth-class Battlecruiser

The Kaloth Battlecruiser is an older model capital ship, dating back to the days before the Rebel Alliance was formally created. It can carry a compliment of 6 starfighters and 2 shuttles, though this configuration has frequently been altered by tech crews working on the vessels. Few of these ships remain in service, and unlike the Nebulon B the Kaloth battlecruiser has fallen to obscurity. Many are currently in the hands of pirate crews, such as the Survivors, and the Cavilrhu Pirates, or are in the hands of wealthy private collectors, though few are in what could be called good repair. On the other hand, some ships, such as the Harmzuay used by Thalassian Slavers have been heavily modified to pack a much more powerful punch than a Corellian Support Frigate. It has 5280 m.tons cargo capacity and costs 2.4 MCR, if you can find an unaltered Kaloth. It compares with a Nebulon-B frigate in firepower.

Recuscant-class Light Destroyer

Before the outbreak of the Clone Wars, the Republic relied on local defence fleets. Private fleets were very common among those who could afford them. The Commerce Guild was one such entity. Like other commercial interests, it used largely automated ships since they are cheaper to maintain. Inexpensive as they were, thousands of Recuscants were hastily constructed for the war effort. Although intended for a combat support role and much weaker than Republic ships, Recuscants could harrass individual Venators in groups of four to six. It features no hangars, but fighters can temporarily seek shelter in its largely hollow superstructure. While very long, it is mostly empty and only a small part of the ship maintains life support. Like many other CIS warships, it is structurally frail and relies mostly on its shields in combat.

Sabaoth Destroyer

The Sabaoth Mercenaries under Captain Toth became so successful and prosperous while working for the Trade Federation that they had most of their fleet custom made for them. The Sabaoth Destroyer was the mainstay of their mercenary fleet. While not as heavily armed as some of the ships that appeared in the Clone Wars, the mercenaries had a distinct advantage during the early part of the Clone Wars before true militarization began. The Sabaoth Destroyer proved to be such a successful design that a few warlords acquired some of their own at exorbitant cost.

Consular-class Corvette

The Consular-class Corvette is a direct forerunner to the famous Blockade Runner. In the late Old Republic era, these ships were predominantly used for diplomatic missions and transportation, with the typical red colouring indicative of a diplomatic vessel. With the outbreak of the Clone Wars, the Consular-class was refitted for war with turbolasers and other weapons. The entire saloon section of the ship can break loose as its own armoured escape pod, complete with its own sensors and sublight engines should the need arise. The Consular has a cargo hold for 350 Metric Tons. Market price 180 KCR, 60 KCR used.
