Supplemental information about Imperial Aquatic Vehicles. Note that land repulsorcrafts
can also be used on a water surface.
Unarmed but useful for carrying units across the ocean. Relatively slow but well armoured.
Recommendation: Destroy with frigates.
Designer/Manufacturer: Combat Role: Aquatic Transport
Crew: 12 (est.)
Length: Propulsion: Repulsorlift
Speed: 70 Kph (est.)
Shield Rating: None.
Hull Rating: 160 RU
Cargo Capacity: 10 squads or medium vehicles.
A fast, light vessel equipped with basic energy weapons, making it suitable for both
scouting and defence. Designed for ASW, anti-submarine warfare, it is quite capable of
detecting and destroying submersible units.
Recommendation: Can be taken out with Destroyers, but air attacks work better, just
watch out for AA destroyers.
The Destroyer has good armor and speed, and is equipped with extremely short-range
weapons, capable of cutting right through the hull of an enemy ship. It is designed to
destroy other ships.
Recommendation: Vulnerable to concentrated, ranged firepower since it has to close
A cruiser is a long range artillery platform, designed to bombard any enemy into submission
with devastatingly powerful weapons. They are highly suitable for costal bombardments. They
are however vulnerable to point blank range attacks, such as from destroyers.
Recommendation: Destroyers are very suitable for taking out cruisers.
A dedicated anti-air ship, keeping your fleet safe from enemy air power. It has
no other purpose and is incapable of defending itself against other ships. It can rapidly
fire a large amount of powerful missiles, capable of destroying fighters or bombers in a
Recommendation: Any surface ship can destroy it easily, but never send air
attacks against it.
The equivalent of the land based AT-AT is a powerful vehicle with strong armour and turreted
weapons that can cover any direction. It is capable of underwater operations.
Recommendation: Perhaps the most powerful Imperial underwater craft. Use S-4 proton
torpedoes against it.
Name/Type: AT-AT Swimmer
Designer/Manufacturer: Combat Role: Aquatic Heavy Assault Vehicle
Length: 22.3 m
Speed: 80 Kph
Shield Rating: None.
Hull Rating: 200 RU
Weapons: 2 Heavy Laser Cannons, 2 Medium Blaster Cannons.
Cargo Capacity: 50 Troopers or 5 Waveskimmers.
Another application of land based walkers, the Wave Walker is a surface only vehicle. It
uses two hydrofoils for minimum water contact which enables it to reach high speeds and high
Recommendation: Heavily armoured, use rockets.
Also known as a "TIE Fighter Boat", or "TIE Sub". This is an army craft, adopted from TIE
Fighters due to interface standardization and the high availability of parts. It is
designed exclusively to operate underwater, and is typically used on water worlds by
Aquatic Assault Troopers (Seatroopers) along with such vehicles as the AT Swimmer and the
Waveskimmer. It carries modified weapons designed to work underwater. Recommendation: It's unshielded and easy to detect, but quite fast and agile for an underwater craft.
Officially called an "exploration vehicle", the Explorer Submergible is more properly
considered one of the first AAVs for the Imperial Army. It is designed to operate on the
seabed on water worlds. It's grip-legs can traverse even the worst terrain. It was orginally
meant to be a multienvironment vehicle, but it proved too difficult to produce a vehicle
that could operate well in any environment. The main drawback of this efficient craft is
the cramped crew space. The two trooper that can fit must actually ball up and spend their
time onboard in a small compartment. An air hatch allows seatoopers to emerge from within
to explore or attack.Recommendation: Seabed vehicles are difficult to detect. The main problem is to
find the ExpSub. Concentrated on scouting.
Name/Type: Explorer Submergible
Designer/Manufacturer: Design Team Beta / Hydrospeare Corporation
Combat Role: Aquatic Assault Vehicle
Crew: 4 + 2 Gunners
Length: 9.1 Meters
Speed: 60 Kph (85 Kph underwater)
Shield Rating: None.
Hull Rating: 30 RU (est.)
Weapons: 1 Taim & Bak SC4 Heavy Blaster Cannon, 1 Turreted Arakyd 5-XV Light
Cargo Capacity: 2 Troopers.
New Imperial Federation - Navy Order Of Battle
Assassin-class model CR90b Subaquatic Corvette
The class was designed and put into production since its predecessor, the CR90 Corellian
Corvette, did not have sufficient firepower and was vulnerable in battle. The body of this
vessel maintains the same general shape as its predecessor, although it has a different
exterior design with a different engine array. It maintains eight large and three small
engines all in a complete compact section. The Modified Corvette has been seen in use by the
Galactic Empire, New Republic and other organizations and groups. The Empire has used this
craft in its System Patrol Squadrons and for armed transports.
Model CR90B is the NIF designation for a modified series of Assassin-class Corvettes. They
are just as modular and adaptable as the regular model, but this version has been modified
for extended underwater operations. Originally the particle shielding was designed for
operations down to 1 km depth, but after the Nemesis Found mission to Kamino where the
modified Executor-class Nemesis dived underwater and came to rest at the seabed at a depth
of 6 km, the series have been further modified for practically unlimited deepwater
operations. The hull and weapons have been redesigned to function underwater as well,
making this version extensively modified from the original ship. In addition to underwater
operations, it is also fully capable of space and atmosperic operations, making this one of,
if not the most versatile of all NIF starships, quickly adaptable for any need.
Name/Type: Assassin-class model CR90b Subaquatic Corvette
Designer/Manufacturer: Corellian Engineering Corporation
Length: 153 Meters
Speed: 60 MGLT, 950 km/h (up to 950 km/h underwater).
Shield Rating: 400 SBD
Hull Rating: 228 RU
Weapons: 2 Double Turbolaser Cannons, 4 Turbolaser Cannons and 2 Tractor Beam
Projectors, 1 General Purpose Launcher (modified to carry 20 space/aquatic hydrotorpedoes).
Fighter Complement: 2 fighters (typically TIE/aq when assigned to water assaults).
Troops: 100 Troopers.
Support Craft: 2 Assault Shuttles (modified for additional subaquatic use).
