LE-Series Repair Droid

The droid was also able to install the cargo in cargo holds, help with docking operation or pilot swoop bikes, landspeeders, or airspeeders. With the proper programming, it could skillfully control even a medium-sized starship. The protocol abilities allowed LE-series droids to establish contact with spaceport personnel and find the best way to avoid any unnecessary bureaucracy.

The droid itself had specialized sensors and scopes, a broadband antenna, and a hologram recorder and projector. It also knew a large variety of tools, starships and other vehicle types and huge amount of parts suitable for them. The skeletal body composition allowed LE-series droids to squeeze inside even the tightest places in almost every type of machinery.

The LE-series droid was very popular among spaceport crew members (as a part of staff) and pilots (as co-pilots and counterparts). Many owners gave their LE-series droids names based on their serial numbers.

R2 Series Astromech

Like its forerunners, the R2 was designed to work in and around space vessels as a diagnostic and repair unit. The unit could store up to ten sets of hyperspace vector coordinates in its astrogation buffer, and many had the intelligence and experience to perform engine startup and pre-flight taxiing. The R2 operated flawlessly in the vacuum of interstellar space.

R4 Series Astromech

The R4 had the same outward appearance of an R2 or R3 droid below the neck, but to save money on production, items such as the video display screen and miniature fire extinguisher were omitted. The holographic projector/recorder unit was retained, but relocated to the top of the head dome to allow for use of a cheaper, less miniaturized unit with a smaller rotational axis. The droid's Intellex VI computer was advanced, but geared toward common repulsorcraft designs and specs for commercially available space transports.

R5 Series Astromech

Based upon the success of prior astromech models, such as the wildly popular R2-series, Industrial Automaton intended the R5-series to cater to budget buyers at the cost of some functionality.

Because of their inexpensive construction, however, droids of this series were plagued by a number of design flaws—most obviously, a sullen demeanor and sharp attitude resulting from deficiencies in the machine's personality matrix.

Aboard Imperial warships, R5 units were used to monitor medical equipment such as life support capsules.

BDMU X-3

Upon discovery of a bomb the area would be cordoned off and the area evacuated. The BDU would then be sent in, it is programmed with the designs of all known bomb designs. It is also able to be used on manual control format. The unit has a mini laser to cut wires when necessary. When in bomb laying mode, it will release a mine from the pack on its back. The mine would than fall into a hole in the ground, under the droid. The hole is opened with a scoop under the droid, one the mine is in the hole, the droid would cover it back up very rapidly. The cost of this droid is negligible. It is able to be built from spare or used parts if necessary, but this will limit its abilities. One the backpack is out of mines the droid would head back and get a new backpack very rapidly.

LM-500 Crab Droid

The LM-500 Crab Droid was made to help complement troops in the field. The intital model was under armored so a refit to ArmorPlast, the same as used in Strom Trooper armor.The weapons pods are in four types; Blaster Pod, Ion Blaster Pod, Stun Blaster Pod, and Grenade Launcher Pod.

Pegasus Battle Droid

The Pegasus Battle Droid is the future of combat droid technology. It is designed to act as a soldier in any capacity required, from a front line trooper to a rear echelon occupation guard, what ever is required of it. This droid unlike most previous battle droids is designed to be extremely versatile and usable for almost any situation. The droid itself stands approximately two meters tall and weights approximately two hundred and fifty kilograms or about five hundred and fifty pounds. Its armor is a durasteel polymer with laser-reflective coat. It's armor is strong enough to take blaster bolts with little damage. However the PBD is also equipped with a shield generator capable of protecting the droid from blasts and impacts across its body.

The droid is powered by a miniature fusion generator that produces far more power than the droid itself requires. The generator itself has multiple safety features to scram the generator to avoid any chance of a critical overload should the containment field and surrounding armor be compromised. A specially modified and designed, heavy blaster rifle and droid’s side arm are equipped with a plug that goes into a slot in the droid’s hands. The blasters do not require a power pack and draws all of their power from the extra power output by the reactor and capacitors build into the droid. The weapons have a better standard damage rating than the DLT-19 Heavy Blaster Rifle and the Razor series MX respectively with the added benefit of fully automatic fire. In the rare event that both weapons are disabled or destroyed it is programmed with the use of normal weaponry. If no other weaponry is available, the droid has retractable blades on the top of its wrists. In the extremely unlikely event that the all of these are disabled without the droid’s destruction, it is programmed with an assortment of hand-to-hand combat techniques. The droid can take a tremendous amount of damage and survive. It can lose limbs and still function. The droid also carries approximately ten rounds for its under barrel grenade launcher.

While large this droid is extremely fast and mobile, easily able to quickly advance across open ground to the next available cover. It is programmed with hundreds of battlefield tactics and options and unlike previous battle droids, knows how to use cover effectively. It has been given the battlefield experiences of older model battle droids to help it excel on the battlefield. Its software includes a number of programs, including the Imperial Training Manual, Anti-insurgency training, Anti-vehicle training, the rules of warfare, multiple pyrowall defensive measures, Life Preservation Programming, and others. While effective and useful the droid is relatively cheap to make and easily mass-produced compared to larger, more heavily armed, and bulkier models. The Pegasus Battle Droid has several different types of sensory systems to help it gather information on the battlefield.

The droid's primary sensor systems scan for IFF signals across the battlefield to help identify targets. It's optical sensors include, telescopic photoreceptors, infrared vision, thermal sensors, motion detectors, and recognition software to assist in friend of foe identification. It's auditory sensors are internally adjustable to sense noises from a distance or to simply lower them during a battle situation. IT also includes and advanced sensor package, that analyzes a number of factors in the environment, including, electromagnetic radiation, vibration, gravity, nuclear radiation, magnetic fields, air pressure, trace chemicals, and the emissions from other sensors. Additionally with the proper secure terminal and security codes it is possible for an remote operator to take direct control of the droid where it requires that living touch.

What makes the PBD truly special and different from all other modern droids is the way it moves its limbs. The droid not only uses servo-motors to move its limbs but it also uses recent advances in biomechanical technology. Mechanical cords and padding act like muscles in the limbs of the droid. The mechanical cords are made of an electro reactive polymer than when introduced to an electric current expanded and stiffened depending on the current. A second processor inside the droid handled the droid's cardio-muscular movements so the primary processor was free to focus on fighting. These robotic cardio-muscular parts not only add protection to the inner parts of the droid but make its movements more fluid and enhance its speed and strength. The Pegasus Battle Droid also includes small repulsors in the soles of its feet and in several parts of it's body that extend during their use. While the droid cannot fly, it can however leap large distances using the repulsors to enhance its ability. This new method dramatically improves the droids maneuverability and reaction time far exceeding previous droids.
