Imperial Sentinels

Imperial Insignia
History of the Imperial Sentinels. After Emperor Palpatine died, the Imperial Royal Guard no longer had a purpose or a reason of existance. For some time, Royal Guards continued to serve in the Remnants of the Empire, taking a black stripe on their robes to mark their mourning. Then some Guardsmen rebelled, lead by Carnor Jax, sabotaging Palpatine's plan of rebirth and parading a fake Emperor. The attempt to size the throne of the Empire failed, but the Guard was nearly destroyed in the process. When Palpatine was reborn on Byss in the body of a young clone, he created the Imperial Sentinels as his new guard.

No one knew their secret. To everyone else, they were towering titans with unknown origin. Even the Royal Guard could only speculate that they were droids, or cyborgs created from some obscure race of giants. In actuality, they are gene-altered clones of the Dark Side Adepts that created them with the methods described in Palpatine's book Creation of Monsters using Sith alchemy and Dark Side powers. While rumoured to be merely mindless drones, this is not true, however the Sentinels are completely subject to the will of the Dark Jedi who created them and incapable of disloyalty. A Dark Jedi can also percieve what their Sentinels percieve at will.

Imperials Sentinels are about 3,5 m tall, possessing massive physical strenght. They typically use giant vibroaxes which can deliver exceedingly destructive blows, as vibroweapons are enhanced by strenght, which the Sentinels have in spades. Additionally, these "Forceaxes" maintain a powerful charge of energy which can kill instantly. They wear body armour of the highest quality, tailored to their size and strenght. Sentinels work as bodyguards for the Dark Jedi who creates them and give them whatever weapons, skills, and equipment they see fit.

In game terms, Sentinels are treated as blank characters (NPCs). Every Dark Jedi are allowed to create a number of Sentinels up to equal to their rank level (limited for security purposes and use of NIF resources), but only Dark Jedi of at least the level of Apprentice are skilled enough to create their own Sentinels. The Sentinels only obey the Dark Jedi who creates them, unquestioningly, and are not part of the army or any other organization.
