Criminals Starfighters
Imperial Database > Criminals Starfighters

This information regarding starfighters in use by pirates and various criminal groups and individuals has been complied by Imperial Intelligence.

Z-95 Headhunter

The Z-95 is the precursor to the X-Wing. The design is decades old, orignally an atmosperic craft that was adopted for space, but it still remains in service with the rebels and their allies, mainly for training purposes and covert missions. It is one of the oldest designs in service, but still popular on the private market beacuse of its reliability, ruggedness and easy customization. For the same reason, it is popular with pirates and criminals. Manufacture of the craft was stopped over a decades ago, with the last version being the AF4 coming out fresh right before the Clone Wars.

Recommendation: Z-95s rarely pose any threat at all to Imperial fighters unless in 4 to 1 numbers. Only a heavily customized Headhunter with a great pilot could be a threat.

Specifications:

CloakShape (CS Fighter)

The CloakShape Fighter is another old fighter, designed for short-range and atmospheric combat. While lacking a hyperdrive, it is a very rugged, durable design, able to take a beating and still have a great change of bringing the pilot home alive. While it is no longer in production, it is a surprisingly simple design with modularized compartments and universal adaptors which allow the ships to be fitted with virtually any after-market system. Only a few CloakShapes still in service have gone unmodified, since the after-market is thriving with several modules for sale. It can for example be fitted with a manoeuvring fin that is so common and popular that many people believe that it is part of the ship's original design. With extensive modifications, this fighter can rival rebel Y-Wings. They can be found in service with planetary defence fleets, private companies or wealthy individuals. They also are in use by bounty hunters, pirates, smugglers and other groups or individuals that need assault starships.

Recommendation:
Few CloakShapes are modified to the point that they could be a viable threat to Imperial starfighters, however they should not be underestimated. CloakShapes are fairly fast and maneouverable, and may have been fitted with heavier weapons, larger fuel tank, shields and hyperdrive.

Specifications:

Name/Type: CloakShape Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Kuat Systems Engineering
Combat Role: Multi-Role
Crew: 1
Length: 15 Meters
Speed: 93 MGLT, 950 Kph

Shield Rating: None. (96 SBD modified)
Hull Rating: 28 RU
Weapons: 1 Double Laser Cannon, 1 Dual Concussion Missile Launcher (8 warheads).
Countermeasures: None.

T-Wing

The T-Wing is a fast, light interceptor. It is highly impopular with rebel pilots compared to the A-Wing and thus a rare sight. Although fast and inexpensive, it is fragile and sports relatively weak armament. It has become fairly popular with pirates and local governments.

Recommmendation: T-Wings are not particularly manoeuvrable compared to Imperial fighters and not considered much of a threat, but bombers should watch out for this fast interceptor.

Specifications:

Name/Type: T-Wing
Designer/Manufacturer: Hoersh-Kessel Drive Incorporated
Combat Role: Interception
Crew: 1
Length: 10 Meters
Speed: 111 MGLT
Acceleration: 21 MGLT/s

Hull Rating: 15 RU
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons, 2 Missile Launchers (8 Missiles)
Countermeasures: (est.) 8 Chaff Bursts or 5 Flares

R-41 Starchaser

The Starchaser is often compared to the Z-95. It is almost as antiquated, but has slightly better performance. They are in use with rebels, pirates and planetary defence forces. It is a versatile craft, but lacks severly in performance compared to newer starfighters.

Recommendation: R-41's provides little but a temporary stopgap against Imperial fighters. The only possible threat is from the R-41's ion cannons, which may disable your craft if you get too cocky.

Specifications:

Name/Type: R-41 Starchaser
Designer/Manufacturer: Hoersh-Kessel Drive Incorporated
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Length: 15 Meters
Speed: 100 MGLT
Acceleration: 16 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 75 DPF
Hyperdrive: x2
Shield Rating: 30 SBD
Hull Rating: 15 RU
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons, 2 Ion Cannons, 2 Warhead Launchers (8 Missiles)
Countermeasures: 15 Chaff Bursts or 10 Flares.

Toscan 8-Q

The Toscan 8-Q was one of several designs that led to the development of the Y-Wing. Hence why this fighter uses a Koensayr cockpit. This two engine fighter can only be purchased used, since no new ones are available. However, the Toscan Fighter remains popular with pirates and other small military forces, particularly in lower tech regions of the galaxy such as Wild Space and the Unknown Regions.

Recommendation: An overall decent multi-purpose fighter, but still a poor mans version of the Imperial assault gunboat. Although the Toscan 8-Q sports reasonable firepower (the original version had only 2 laser cannons, however), it has too little firepower to threaten capital ships, and it is too slow and sluggish to be a serious threat to Imperial fighters. Just keep your wits, and it should prove little more than a training exercise.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Toscan 8-Q Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Shobquix Yards
Combat Role: Multi-Role
Crew: 1
Length: 10.2 Meters
Speed: 87 MGLT, 850 Kph
Acceleration: 14 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 72 DPF
Hyperdrive: x2
Shield Rating: 68 SBD
Hull Rating: 23 RU
Weapons: 4 Wing Mounted Laser Cannons, 2 Nose Mounted Ion Cannons, 2 Concussion Missile Launchers (4 warheads each)
Countermeasures: None.

Preybird

The Preybird came into existance at the time of the Battle of Yavin, but due to disputes over the weapons systems, the project went substantially over budget and was soon discontinued. The Preybird is in common use by pirates and bounty hunters. This design is favoured also by mercenaries and anyone else who might favour the swooping, intimidating lines of this fighter. It has also lately come into the use by the Imperial Remnant.

Recommendation: For an assault fighter, the Preybird carries little weaponry. This is another fighter with too little firepower to threaten capital ships, although it is reasonably fast and maneuverable. The major weakness of this fighter is its size, more than three times that of Imperial TIEs.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Preybird-class Starfighter
Designer/Manufacturer: SoroSuub Corporation
Combat Role: Assault
Crew: 2
Length: 21 Meters
Speed: 100 MGLT, 1050 Kph
Acceleration: 13 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 86 DPF
Hyperdrive: x3
Shield Rating: 46 SBD
Hull Rating: 18 RU
Weapons: 2 Wing-Tipped Laser Cannons, 2 Concussion Missile Launchers (4 warheads each)
Countermeasures: None.

C-73 Tracker

This starfighter is even older than the Z-95 Headhunter. Most of them are in museums, such as the Imperial Stardrive Museum on Coruscant where several can be seen. A few still remain on the fringes of the galaxy. A few credit-poor pirate groups are known to use either original C-73s or copies of them. The Tracker was one of Subpro Corporation's last designs before teaming up with Incom Corporation to produce the Z-95. The C-73s have served the planetary defence of the planet of Guiteica for decades.

Recommendation: If you encounter any, you might as well try to capture them as antiques.

Specifications:

Name/Type: C-73 Tracker
Designer/Manufacturer: Subpro Corporation
Combat Role: Multi-Role
Crew: 1
Length: 11.5 Meters
Speed: 60 MGLT, 950 Kph
Acceleration: Unknown.
Maneuverability: 80 DPF (est.)
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: None.
Hull Rating: 15 RU
Weapons: 1 Wing Tipped Double Laser Cannon.
Countermeasures: None.

GAT-12h Skipray Blastboat

The Skipray series is the second most popular all-round light combat ship in use outside of the Imperial Navy. The Empire chose not to purchase these vessels in large quantities, so these ships can be found in use by Customs, Sector Rangers, numerous local territorial governments, corporations, mercenaries, pirates and smugglers. For its size, it is an extremly durable, very heavily armed assault fighter.

Recommendation: If you spot an enemy Blastboat, you have bad news. It is powerful enough to be a serious threat to capital ships, and durable and armed enough to be difficult to take out. In can be outmaneuvered and pounded into submission with lasers, but this is a dangerous course of action that is not recommended, since the Blastboat has turrets. Use proton torpedoes to take it out.

Specifications:

Name/Type: GAT-12h Skipray Blastboat
Designer/Manufacturer: Sienar Fleet Systems
Combat Role: Heavy Assault
Crew: 4
Length: 25 Meters
Speed: 91 MGLT, 1200 kph
Acceleration: 16 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 64 DPF
Hyperdrive: x2
Shield Rating: 102 SBD
Hull Rating: 61 RU
Weapons: 1 Turreted Dual Laser Cannon, 3 Forward Medium Ion Cannons, 1 Proton Torpedo Launcher (12 warheads), 1 Concussion Missile Launcher (24 warheads).
Countermeasures: None.

TL-118 StarHammer

TL-118, aka StarHammer, was developed during the height of the Galactic Civil War. Subpro planned to market the starship to either the rebels or the Empire, whichever bid the highest. The Empire rejected the design, and the rebels couldn't afford it, so Subpro sold its first and only production run to anyone willing to pay for the fighters, including security forces, system militias, planetary defense fleets, mercenaries, and crime lords.

Recommendation: Aside from being a large, slow target, the StarHammer suffer from a major weakness which was one of the reasons the Empire rejected the design. One successful strike against the ion engines causes them to emit maximum thrust, sending the fighter out of control in the general direction it was travelling.

Specifications:

Name/Type: TL-118 StarHammer
Designer/Manufacturer: Subpro Corporation
Combat Role: Heavy Assault
Crew: 2
Length: 35 Meters
Speed: 40 MGLT, 300 Kph
Acceleration: Unknown.
Maneuverability: 64 DPF
Hyperdrive: x3
Shield Rating: 125 SBD
Hull Rating: 28 RU
Weapons: 2 Heavy Laser Cannons, 2 Light Laser Cannons, 2 Twin Laser Cannons, 1 Concussion Missile Launcher, Air-To-Surface Bombs.
Countermeasures: None.

StarViper

The StarViper assault fighter is an old design, but very capable and powerful. It is one of the deadliest fighters found in private use. It is still used in what is left of the Black Sun, but is being replaced by the Supa Fighter. The late Prince Xizor was known to use an extensivly modified StarViper named the Virago. It features an unusual s-foil design. During space flight, the wings constantly changes positions as manoeuvres require, making the fighter look alive. With retracted foils, the laser cannons can rotate 180 degrees. In extended mode, they remain locked forward.

Recommendation: The StarViper is a dangerous adversary, more powerful than X-Wings. It presents a large profile with extended s-foils. Imperial pilots are recommended to make use of this fact and lock missiles on it.

Specifications:

Name/Type: StarViper Assault Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Mandal Motors
Combat Role: Heavy Assault
Crew: 1
Length: 21 Meters
Speed: 111 MGLT, 600 kph (1,050 kph with retracted s-foils).
Acceleration: 16 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 104 DPF
Hyperdrive: x2
Shield Rating: 50 SBD
Hull Rating: 35 RU
Weapons: 2 Side Cockpit Mounted Taim & Bak Ht-12 Double Heavy Laser Cannons, 2 Forward Borstel Proton Torpedo Launchers (3 warheads each).
Countermeasures: None.

StarViper 2.0

The StarViper assault fighter 2.0 Upgrades include improved countermeasure to compensate for the large frontal and rear targeting profiles the craft presents, helping increase the difficulty to establish missile locks on the craft. A beam compartment module also gives the craft versatility or increased chances of survival. An upgraded reactor as well as improved microthruster design provides extra power and maneuverability, upgrading the already impressive agility of the craft. The weapons, plenty powerful already, were simply tweaked to allow them to rotate 180 degrees even when the s-foils are in attack position as previously the cannons could only swivel when the s-foils were closed. The missile capacity was also improved upon, giving the craft extra punch and allowing it to remain a threat in protracted battles.

Recommendation: The StarViper is a dangerous adversary, more powerful than X-Wings. It presents a large profile with extended s-foils. Imperial pilots are recommended to make use of this fact and lock missiles on it.

Specifications:

Name/Type: StarViper Assault Fighter Version 2.0
Designer/Manufacturer: Mandal Motors
Combat Role: Heavy Assault
Crew: 1
Length: 21 Meters
Speed: 125 MGLT, 900 kph (1,450 kph with retracted s-foils).

Hyperdrive: x1
Shield Rating: 80 SBD
Hull Rating: 45 RU
Weapons: 2 Side Cockpit Mounted Taim & Bak Ht-12 Double Heavy Laser Cannons, 2 Forward Borstel Proton Torpedo Launchers (6 warheads each).
Countermeasures: Chaff and Flare launcher, 1 Bertriak "Screamer" Active Jammer, Beam Weapon Module.

Supa Fighter

The Supa Fighter was manufactured by Joraan Drive Yards for the Black Sun criminal organization, during the height of the New Order. A good pilot can exploit this large fighter's better-than-average turn, roll and pitch rates. Furthermore, in the right hands the Supa Fighter is difficult to hit and can take a beating as well. It is replacing the older StarViper which is more costly to maintain.

Recommendation: The Supa is average in performance with no particular weaknesses aside from being a fairly large target from above or below with its wide 18-meter profile.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Supa Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Joraan Drive Systems
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Length: 18 Meters
Speed: 89 MGLT
Acceleration: 16 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 88 DPF
Hyperdrive:
Shield Rating: 80 SBD
Hull Rating: 38 RU
Weapons: Wing Tip Duel Laser Cannons, 1 Forward Ion Cannon, 2 Concussion Missile Launchers (4 warheads each).
Countermeasures: None.

TIE-Y Custom Starfighter

The TIE-Y is one of the short-range starfighters known as "uglies". It is a generic name given to any of the pieced-together fighters that are built by low-life techs in the Corellian Sector. Uglies are built from starship parts scavenged from any and all sources, particularly rebel and imperial fighters, and are built for firepower more than maneuverability. The TIE-Y, aka TIE-wing, (nicknamed Die-wing by Republic pilots) is the result of combined parts from the TIE fighter and the Y-Wing. It is quite fast, but that is also the only good thing about it.

Recommendation: Below average performance. Unless they outnumber you, they pose little threat.

Specifications:

Name/Type: TIE-Y Custom Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Various corellian outlaws
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Length: 12 Meters
Speed: 130 MGLT
Acceleration: Unknown.
Maneuverability: Unknown.
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: None.
Hull Rating: 20 RU
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons.
Countermeasures: None.

Y-TIE Custom Starfighter

The Y-TIE is also the result of welded parts from the TIE fighter and the Y-Wing. It is quite durable but slow.

Recommendation: Below average performance. Unless they outnumber you, they pose little threat.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Y-TIE Custom Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Various corellian outlaws
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 2
Length: 10 Meters
Speed: 70 MGLT
Acceleration: Unknown.
Maneuverability: Unknown.
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: 75 SBD
Hull Rating: 40 RU
Weapons: 4 Laser Cannons.
Countermeasures: None.

X-TIE Custom Starfighter

The X-TIE is an average ugly, combining the X-Wing and the TIE fighter. Not particularly good at anything.

Recommendation: Below average performance. Unless they outnumber you, they pose little threat.

Specifications:

Name/Type: X-TIE Custom Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Various corellian outlaws
Combat Role: Multi-Role
Crew: 1
Length: 10 Meters
Speed: 80 MGLT
Acceleration: Unknown.
Maneuverability: Unknown.
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: 25 SBD
Hull Rating: 40 RU
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons, 2 Torpedo Launchers (6 warheads).
Countermeasures: None.

X-Ceptor Custom Starfighter

The X-Ceptor is the result of a marriage between the TIE Interceptor and the X-Wing. It is one of the better 'uglies', performing about average for an industrial-built starfighter.

Recommendation: Average performance, but still flies like a crippled X-Wing. Unless they outnumber you, they pose little threat. Some models have only 2 Laser Cannons for armament.

Specifications:

Name/Type: X-Ceptor Custom Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Various corellian outlaws
Combat Role: Multi-Role
Crew: 1
Length: 14 Meters
Speed: 100 MGLT
Acceleration: Unknown.
Maneuverability: Unknown.
Hyperdrive: x2 for some models.
Shield Rating: 20 SBD
Hull Rating: 40 RU
Weapons: 4 Laser Cannons, 1 Torpedo Launcher (3 warheads).
Countermeasures: None.

Tri-fighter Custom Starfighter

The tri-fighter was named 'clutch' by republic pilots, because it looks like a hand clutching the cockpit ball. It has an uncanny resemblance to the V-38 Assault Fighter, we belive the 'clutch' was the result of discarded parts from the V-38 project. It is still unknown how the parts reached the black market. The tri-fighter is possibly the best of the uglies. It was built by an old TIE production facility under the control of former ISD Captain Leonia Tavira and very successfully used by her Invidious Pirates in many raids. The pirate gang was eventually broken up, but Tavira is still at large.

Recommendation: A bit weak in firepower but the ion cannon can be troublesome. It is fairly durable with overall slightly above average performance. Should not be confused with other uglies and underestimated.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Tri-Fighter Custom Starfighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Leonia Tavira/Invidious Pirates
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Length: 10 Meters
Speed: 90 MGLT
Acceleration: 18 MGLT/s (est.)
Maneuverability: 90 DPF (est.)
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: 55 SBD
Hull Rating: 35 RU
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons, 1 Ion Cannon.
Countermeasures: None.

Deathseed Custom Starfighter

This fighter is not built by corellians, but by the Twileki, who named this ugly "Chir'daki", which is the native name for the deadly spore of a parasitic fungus aka Deathseed. It combines parts from the TIE Fighter, B-wing and X-wing, and is overall a fairly successful design commonly used by the Twi'Leki.

Recommendation: Good firepower but fragile. Slightly above average performance.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Deathseed Custom Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Twi'leki
Combat Role: Multi-Role
Crew: 1
Length: 9.5 Meters
Speed: 100 MGLT
Acceleration: Unknown.
Maneuverability: Unknown.
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: 25 SBD
Hull Rating: 10 RU
Weapons: 4 Laser Cannons, 1 Torpedo Launcher (optional).
Countermeasures: None.

Republic T.I.E.

This is the original Twin Ion Engine figher from two generations before the TIE Line Fighter, the one which all Imperial TIE Fighters stem from. The orignal features a more rugged hull than the later TIE fighters, but is slower and less manueverable. It also only has a single laser cannon mounted on the chin of the command pod. Although no longer in use by the Empire, the T.I.E. is still used by some companies and pirate groups, but is uncommon even there.

Recommendation: The T.I.E. has the same advantages as TIE Line Fighters, small profile, fast (for its time) and highly maneuverable. It is however fragile and sports minimal armament, making the ship little more than a nuisance to shielded fighters.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Republic Twin Ion Engine Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Sienar Republic Systems
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Length: 6.08 Meters
Speed: 80 MGLT, 1,050 Kph
Acceleration: 20 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 90 DPF
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: None.
Hull Rating: 30 RU
Weapons: 1 Laser Cannon.
Countermeasures: None.

Hornet Interceptor

A sleek, insect-like fighter built on the black market for the Tenloss Syndicate. It was designed to emulate the TIE Fighter: fast, lightweight, and easily mass-produced with low-cost standard parts. It has a thin, rounded body with wings that can be deployed in atmospheres. The command pod has its own section, and can be jettisoned in emergencies. It is lightly armored and shielded, but is highly maneuverable. Its laser cannons can be upgraded to turbocharged, causing twice the normal damage. Even when not turbocharged, the lasers are more powerful than standard. The Hornet was initially used only by Tenloss and those groups it allowed access to the Hornet, although shady deals with other criminals and organizations have made the Hornet available elsewhere. Such Hornets have often been customized for the worse.

Recommendation: If sporting turbocharged laser cannons, they are prone to overheat. After three shots or more, the barrels may explode violently, so draw fire. Concussion missiles recommended.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Hornet Interceptor
Designer/Manufacturer: Tenloss Syndicate
Combat Role: Interception
Crew: 1
Length: 14 Meters
Speed: 105 MGLT, 1150 Kph
Acceleration: 21 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 165 DPF
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: 50 SBD
Hull Rating: 20 RU
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons (may be turbocharged).
Countermeasures: None.

Zebra Starfighter

This starfighter was designed for use by the Qektoth Confederacy. It is a basic and inexpensive starfighter that is easy to maintain and pilot. While not very durable, it has above standard power laser cannons. Often modified for different uses. The Qektoth modified their Zebras with special bio weapons. Even the Rebel Alliance used the ship extensively though the ship is not very effective except as a ground attack craft. Zebras remain in use by the New Republic in 61 GR. Presumably the NR has upgraded their vessels to keep them competitive.
Recommendation: Slow and very fragile. Quite maneuverable, but much less so than most Imperial TIE fighters. Small threat assessment in stock form.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Zebra Starfighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Hyrotii Engineering
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Length: 12.3 Meters
Speed: 70 MGLT, 1000 Kph.
Acceleration: Unknown.
Maneuverability: 100 DPF
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: None.
Hull Rating: 15 RU
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons.
Countermeasures: None.

Planetary Fighter

The short-range Planetary Fighter is one of Sorosuub's most successful business ventures. It was developed and manufactured during the height of the New Order. The philosophy behind the craft is simple - offer a durable and powerful starfighter for a moderate price, with the options needed to defend a small area of space, and then sell them in bulk to planets and private organizations that do not produce their own, and are not under the jurisdiction of the Empire. Excellent speed, pitch and acceleration compensate for this large fighter's lack of roll and shielding. An extremely fast yet fragile fighter, the Planetary Fighter rewards piloting styles that depend on raw speed and not head on firing runs. Its acceleration surpasses all other fighters. Even the TIE Defender can not win a short race against it. The result is a powerful and speedy starfighter that, while not the most maneuverable ship in the skies, is enough to put up a decent fight when invading forces threaten to strike.

Recommendation: Very, very fast but goes down with a single Advanced Concussion Missile.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Planetary Fighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Sorosuub Corporation
Combat Role: Interception
Crew: 1 + R2 unit
Length: 14.3 Meters
Speed: 135 MGLT, 1300 Kph (est.)
Acceleration: 27 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 78 DPF
Hyperdrive: None.
Shield Rating: 40 SBD
Hull Rating: 14 RU
Weapons: 1 Dual Laser Cannon, 2 Concussion Missile Launchers (12 warheads).
Countermeasures: None.

Pinook Starfighter

The Pinook is a tri-winged starfighter designed to serve as a convoy escort for companies who do not have Imperial protection. It features a four-jump hyperdrive to carry out escort missions, is capable of going for a week without refuelling, and sports a reasonable amount of firepower. The cockpit contains limited entertainment facilities, including a vid player and music player for use on long missions. While having fairly good speed and manoeuverability, it is relatively fragile. The Pinook has been in production for three years and the demand remains quite high amongst its customers. They are typically used by medium to large sized corporations for escort duty and installation protection. They are also used by some customs agencies and by some pirate groups.

Recommendation: Fairly quick, but not up to Imperial TIEs. Do not waste missiles on the Pinook, as your lasers are more than capable of destroying it.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Pinook Starfighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Joraan Drive Systems
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Length: 9.5 Meters
Speed: 96 MGLT, 1,025 Kph
Acceleration: 18 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 82 DPF
Hyperdrive: x2
Shield Rating: 25 SBD
Hull Rating: 14 RU
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons, 1 Concussion Missile Launcher (4 warheads).
Countermeasures: None.

Razor Starfighter

This three-winged starfighter was commonly found in independent security fleets as well as pirate fleets. It is the last model starfighter to roll off the assembly lines of S/SS before Alderaan was destroyed, but enough Razors were produced to make them common enough in many groups. Not quite up to the performance of an X-Wing.

Recommendation: An overall good craft that should not be underestimated. It does however present a rather large target area, so lasers are enough to deal with it, but for a quick kill, missiles are needed.

Specifications:

Name/Type: Razor Starfighter
Designer/Manufacturer: Starypan/SunHui Spaceworks
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Length: 15.0 Meters
Speed: 97 MGLT, 1,000 Kph
Acceleration: 15 MGLT/s
Maneuverability: 86 DPF
Hyperdrive: x2
Shield Rating: 25 SBD
Hull Rating: 20 RU
Weapons: 2 Wing Tip Lasers Cannons, 1 Nose Mounted Dual Ion Cannon, 2 Concussion Missile Launchers (8 warheads).
Countermeasures: None.

G1-A Transport

An old ship originally designed to be a small intersystem courier and transport, but became popular as a military ship. Although it is underpowered and have no backup hyperdrive, it has an easily modifiable hull. Military versions carries extra weapons or have been altered to have extended troop capacity. It is now retired from production, but it was sold in large enough quantities that these small and reliable vessels are still a common sight.

Recommendation: Fairly large and sluggish, but with decent maneuverability, and can take quite a lot of damage. Standard engagement protocol.

Specifications:

Name/Type: G1-A Transport
Designer/Manufacturer: Byblos Drive Yards
Combat Role: Superiority
Crew: 1
Passengers: 1
Length: 15.3 Meters
Speed: 60 MGLT, 950 Kph
Acceleration: 11 MGLT/s (est.)
Maneuverability: 100 DPF
Hyperdrive: x2
Shield Rating: 100 SBD (est.)
Hull Rating: 50 RU (est.)
Weapons: 2 Laser Cannons.
Countermeasures: None.

Rihkxyrk Assault Fighter

The Rihkxyrk (rik-zerk) fighter is almost invariably referred under another name such as the Pirate Heavy Fighter, Pirate Assault Fighter, or even the Pirate Attack Ship, because of its unwieldy name in combination with its most prominent users, the Black Sun and other pirate groups. They are also commonly used by Hutt mercenaries to patrol their space. They make decent patrol ships due to their 1.5 hyperdrive and reasonable interception capabilities.

Its primary armament are three heavy lasers. They are of comparable strength as X-Wing heavy laser cannons, leaving them with 3/4 comparable firepower. While the Rihkxyrk has a reputation of being heavily armed and armoured, tests actually indicate that they aren't more durable than standard TIE Line Fighters. They have however powerful shielding which may be the cause of the rumour. Likewise, their firepower is only slightly above average. They also have a reputation for being sluggish, but their maximum acceleration is actually fair, clocked at 86 to 96 MGLT. The rumour likely refers to its modest maneuverability.

The Rihkxyrk is only noted as performing well against assault craft and older fighters, such as the Y-Wing, Z-95, and TIE Bomber. In other words it is an average performer in every role. Likely its good reputation comes from an earlier era in which it could perform well against its peers. For a pirate craft, even this older ship is a cut above most.

Recommendation:

The Rihkxyrk is a poor dogfighter with limited maneuverability. However its speed and shields often allows it to survive where another craft would fail (such as avoiding or taking a torpedo hit). Don't underestimate the ship and use your advantages to full. If you have a quicker, more nimble fighter, your best bet is to stick on its six and pump it full of lasers.
Rihkxyrk Assault Fighter
